Armed Suspect Robs Convenience Store In Southwest OKC

Police are investigating an early morning armed robbery at a convenience store in southwest Oklahoma City. 

Authorities were called to the Circle K gas station near I-240 & south Pennsylvania Avenue around 4:00 a.m. 

Officers said they were near the convenience store at the time of the call when they spotted the suspect returning to his vehicle parked blocks away.

According to police, the suspect took off running but officers caught him a short distance later.

Police also recovered stolen money and merchandise in the robbery, in addition to a mask and a gun.

The suspect was taken into custody.
