The Oklahoma State Bureau Of Investigation and the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in a 1983 cold case.

In a 2017 interview with News 9, Randall Garton said he dropped his 19-year-old sister Melody Jones off at her home one night in 1983. When she didn’t show up for work the next day, her mother went to check on her. She found Melody’s husband Paul stabbed to death and no sign of her daughter Melody.

OSBI says there have never been any arrests made in the case of Paul’s murder and Melody disappearance remains a mystery.

Now, investigators are looking for information concerning any employee who worked at the Dairy Queen located at 522 North Milt Phillips in Seminole, Oklahoma in 1983 or 1984. You’re asked to call the OSBI tipline at 800-522-8017, or Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 405-275-2526 ext. 111.
