Oklahoma City fire crews battled a fire in northwest Oklahoma City overnight.
Firefighters arrived at the scene near northwest 32nd Street and Council Road at approximately 2 a.m.
The home sustained significant fire and water damage on the inside. Restoration crews said the damage was extensive.
Bethany Fire was joined by Warr Acres and Yukon Fire Departments. The family who lives inside the home said they narrowly escaped because they did not hear the smoke detectors. The small of smoke alerted them to the fire.
The family said their English Terrier was not able to make it out alive. No other injuries were reported.
