Large Beaver County Wildfire Contained By Firefighters

A large wildfire in Beaver County has been well contained after the assistance of multiple fire crews.

The blaze is about one to one-and-a-half square miles. Numerous fire units, road graders, bulldozers and oilfield companies are on location with extra water. Units from Beaver and Harper counties as well as Lipscomb County, Texas, are at the scene.

Smoke plumes from from the fire extend into Kansas and are visible via satellite.
