One person was arrested after a high-speed chase near Newcastle.

One person was arrested after a high-speed chase near Newcastle on Friday on State Highway 9.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Shelby Lafontaine led them on a chase topping 140 miles per hour for about 20 minutes. Troopers took Lafontaine into custody after she pulled over and gave up.

She was booked into jail on multiple complaints including possession of contraband and stolen property.
