Police said three people were shot at an after-hours party early Sunday morning in northeast Oklahoma City.

Neighbors said it sounded like a war zone with dozens of shots fired near Northeast 23rd Street and North Martin Luther King Avenue.

When News 9’s Aaron Brilbeck arrived on the scene, neighbors pointed out two guns lying in plain sight. Authorities were notified.

According to police, the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Officers responded to reports of shots being fired near a popular Oklahoma City club located on North Kate Avenue and Northeast 23rd Street.

Brenda Jackson lives next to the YSS Event Center where it happened.

Jackson said she ran to her back yard to take cover while dozens of teens took off.

“I see them running.  Then I heard shooting everywhere.  Everybody running trying to get to their cars," said Jackson.

Officials said the victims are expected to be okay.

The investigation is ongoing.
