A gas line break is prompting evacuations in Bethany, the fire department reported.

The break happened near Northwest 39th Expressway and Redmond Avenue.

Police blocked off parts of Northwest 39th Expressway as crews worked to cap the leak.

Several businesses have been evacuated.
