Braum's Offers $2,000 Reward For Identity Of Del City Armed Robbery Suspect

Braum’s is offering $2000 to anyone who helps identify a suspect who robbed one of their stores.

The crime took place on September 21, and police say, it was likely planned ahead of time.

“From hiding in the bathroom, to what he was going to do when he came out, immediately grabbing an employee, putting a gun to her head then demanding money, I mean, it was a pretty brazen robbery,” Del City Police Major Bradley Rule said.

The robbery, which happened at the Southeast 43^rd Street location was captured on surveillance footage.

During the crime, the suspect wore a mask, but police are still confident he’ll be identified.

“We have had a couple of leads come in that the detectives are out investigating right now. We’re hoping to get the subject identified as soon as possible,” Rule said. 

Officials at Braum’s corporate are hoping the same.

The company is offering $2000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of whoever held one of their employees at gunpoint, and pistol whipped another, before taking off with their earnings.

“We take this very seriously and we take the safety of our employees very seriously. So, we decided that we would try to help the Del City Police Department and work with them,” Braum’s Public Relations Director Amanda Beauchaw said. 

Any tips can be brought to Del City police, who said catching the robber is a matter of public safety. 

“Obviously, if he’s doing this with a gun, he’s prone to violence. We need to get somebody that’s involved in that off the streets,” Rule said.
