OHP: 1 Killed In Crash Involving Train In Grady Co.

One person was killed Thursday in a crash involving a train in Grady County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The crash happened about 4:45 p.m. near 5th Street and Highway 81 in Pocasset.

A woman was walking southbound on the railroad tracks and was hit by a southbound train.

The woman was identified as 72-year-old Mildred E. Welchel, of El Reno.

She died at the scene from massive injuries, troopers said.

The condition of the pedestrian is under investigation, troopers said.
