OKCFD: Battalion Chief Arrested For DUI

An Oklahoma City Battalion Chief was arrested Tuesday night, the Oklahoma City Fire Department confirms. According to fire department officials Battalion Chief Larry Hansen was arrested for DUI. This is a developing story.

An Oklahoma City Fire Chief is arrested for DUI on overnight.

Charles Hanson was taken in last night on DUI charges and disregarding a traffic signal. Hansen has been with the department for more than 30 years.
He was also one of the first responders following the September 11th attacks in New York City.

OKC Fire Department released a statement saying in part:

"Hansen has NOT been placed on administrative leave pending an internal administrative investigation."
