I call it a chance of a lifetime, who wouldn't? I'll be covering the Oklahoma City Thunder at home, and at away games, for the much-anticipated season. The goal is to hit all 82 games, if the airlines and weather allow.  So my journey with the Oklahoma City Thunder officially begins with media day at Chesapeake Arena.

This could be "The Season" for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The big if, the real big IF, can they stay healthy?  If so, they could be playing in June and that's not a stretch.  You don't have to be an NBA genius to realize Sam Presti and company have comprised a top notch roster and an all-star coaching staff in my humble opinion. The hiring of Billy Donovan wasn't a home run, I call it a grand slam.  It doesn't stop there, Billy has surrounded himself with tremendous assistants.  We'll have plenty of time later to describe what each coach means to this team.

Kevin Durant is healthy, ditto for Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka, all three were on the 2012 NBA Finals squad and haven't returned since. I would've never guessed that, but injuries are a cruel and unpredictable part of any sport.

Hey, I have to give a shout-out to my wife Deanne for giving me the OK to travel with the Thunder. She knows the offer was too good to pass up and a tip of the cap to Griffin Communications for making this all possible.

Keep it here for the latest updates on the Thunder basketball season each Sunday.
