Oklahoma City police responded to two deadly accidents on the same street in northwest Oklahoma City, Tuesday night.
Police said one person was killed after being struck by a vehicle near northwest 10th Street and North Council Road. Authorities said a pedestrian, described as an older white male, tried to cross the road and the driver didn't see them.
Emergency crews and even witnesses tried to use CPR at the scene, but the man was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Now police are urging people to more careful when they cross the street.
"There's a lot of pedestrian traffic in this area and in the last two years I've been on the scene of four auto-ped fatalities on either 10th street, east or west of here, or just north of council or 10th street," said Mike Norris, OKCPD.
Police told us they didnt think alcohol was involved but that they would be investigating that.
A second deadly accident took place near northwest 113th Street and North Council Road. Officers said one woman was transported to the hospital and another person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The condition of the person transported is unknown at this time. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
