Earthquakes Rattle Central Oklahoma

Two earthquakes rattled late Wednesday and overnight Thursday in central Oklahoma, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The first earthquake was a 3.4-magnitude quake and was reported shortly after 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. Its epicenter was about six miles east of Guthrie, 18 miles north, northeast of Edmond and 31 miles north, northeast of Oklahoma City.

The quake was more than six miles deep.

The 3.0-magnitude earthquake was reported at 2:05 a.m. Thursday. Its epicenter was about eight miles east of Guthrie, 19 miles north, northeast of Edmond and 32 miles north, northeast of Oklahoma City.

The earthquake was less than two miles deep.

No immediate reports of damage or injury were reported.
