A gas station clerk was beaten when a robbery turned violent. Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down three suspects.

According to police reports, a woman entered a gas station store Saturday night near NW 39th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue and grabbed a case of beer.

As she was heading out the door, an employee saw her and tried to grab the beer out of her hand.

That's when two men came in. One of the men started hitting the clerk, threw several punches and hit the clerk in the back with some kind of bottle.

The Valero employee is expected to be OK.

“That's not the first time that happened. I had same kind of situation three or four months earlier, so that's not a new thing. But it's a very scary moment,” said Lexmi Battari, the Valero employee.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.
