I expressed my hopefulness based on the ingenuity of the world's greatest minds focused on slowing down and eventually killing the coronavirus.
I also believe we will see more breakthroughs soon, like the one French scientists are touting with an anti-malaria drug paired with a Z-pack.
Here's what you had to say about my optimism:
Anita first: "I've been waiting for you. I have been reading about fighting this with chloroquine. Didn't know whether to believe it or not. Thank you, Kelly, for being a small ray of sunshine during this massive storm."
Bobbie doesn't it buy it though saying: "We're in a mess. The whole world is in a mess. It's going to get a lot worse."
From Teresa: "We will overcome this...that's not "Pollyanna." We have to believe that or we would be doomed."
Carolyn fears politics will be our undoing: "I believed there was a sincere desire to work together in a bipartisan effort for the greater good. However, I lost confidence after the Senate abandoned the relief bill at the hand of Nancy Pelosi and company..."
From Margaret: "With this world-wide pandemic, we need to follow the science, not the stock market or economics."
And finally, Jim wrote: "Thanks Kelly for pointing out some positives in this crisis. Too many in the news media (especially national news) only focus on screaming that we're all going to die."
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
