OHP: Two Men Died At The Scene Of Head-On Crash In Cotton County

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that took place nearly six miles south of Walters.

The collision happened shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday when 81-year-old Jerry E. Rath of Apache was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 44.

Rath's Chevrolet Silverado hit an unidentified man driving a Ford Econoline Van.

OHP said both men died at the scene due to "massive injuries."

The conditions of both drivers prior to the collision is still under OHP investigation.
