There will be a foggy start to the day, but we are expecting partly cloudy skies by the afternoon and late night severe storms Wednesday.
Sunshine will make a return for the first time in several days. Highs Wednesday will climb into the mid and upper 70s with a gusty southwest wind.
The main upper level storm swings out Wednesday night. It will bring a threat of severe weather to much of central and western OK.
Storms are expected to move in from the south and the west between 10 p.m. and and midnight Wednesday. As the night rolls along, several waves of storms are possible. The most intense storms are expected between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Not every storm will be severe, but some of the most intense storms could produce damaging winds to 65 mph, golf ball size hail, and a low tornado threat.
Our team of trackers will be out all night, and we will be fully staffed in the News 9 weather center to bring you updates.
