SPENCER, Oklahoma - Multiple fire departments responded to a large house fire, Wednesday morning in Spencer. 

According to authorities, a husband and wife were inside the home near Northeast 50th Street and North Post Road when the fire broke out in a storage area. 

Firefighters helped the husband and wife escape the fire by breaking a window. 

The wife was taken to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, fire officials said. 

Firefighters said about half of the home was destroyed in the fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
