Oklahoma Alum Buddy Hield Shoots Past The Competition To Win 3-Point Contest At All-Star Weekend
There was plenty of drama during the 3-Point Contest during All-Star Saturday night in Chicago.
It seemed like fate that the Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker and the Sacramento Kings' Buddy Hield, two of the NBA's best three-point shooters, would be in the contest's final round.
Down 26-19, Hield needed to score eight points on his final rack of basketballs to defeat Booker.
He pulled within one point of Booker down to his final basketball and three seconds to shoot.
The Oklahoma alum swished his final attempt to win the 3-Point Contest.
Another famous Oklahoma alumnus reacted on Twitter.
Hield is the first King to win the contest since Peja Stojakovic won during the 2002 and 2003 NBA All-Star Weekends.
