Sooners Climb To No. 7 In CFP Rankings; OSU At No. 21
With just a couple weeks left before the College Football Playoffs are announced, the Oklahoma Sooners got a smidgen of good news.
They're ranked No. 7 this week after a tough-fought 28-24 win over TCU. That's up two spots from last week.
But there are still three teams to climb over for that fourth and final CFP spot, and that includes two SEC teams: Georgia and Alabama.
Ohio State was No. 1 this week ahead of its rivalry game versus Michigan this weekend. Coming off a 56-20 win over Arkansas, LSU was in the second spot -- and Clemson has done nothing to warrant moving out of that third position at 11-0. After the three undefeated teams comes a barrage of one-loss programs.
Despite only defeating Texas A&M by 6 this week, Georgia got the No. 4 spot with Alabama close behind at No. 5.
Utah came in at No. 6 after a 35-7 win over Arizona.
The Sooners play Oklahoma State Saturday night in their annual Bedlam series. The 8-3 Cowboys came in at No. 21 Tuesday night in the weekly CFP Rankings.
