Best Brussels Sprouts Ever

  • 2 pounds Brussel sprouts, trimmed & cut lengthwise
  • Olive oil 
  • 4 slices bacon, cubed
  • 2 shallots, sliced thin
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • Salt & pepper
  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees.
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Put trimmed Brussel sprouts on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes just till fork tender.
  5. While Brussels sprouts re roasting, fry the bacon in a skillet till crispy.
  6. Remove the bacon and allow the bacon grease to cool. 
  7. To make the dressing, warm 3-4 tablespoons of leftover bacon grease.
  8. Sauté the shallots till tender.
  9. Stir in the balsamic vinegar & honey into the warm bacon grease.
  10. Season with salt & pepper.
  11. Add the warm Brussels sprouts and bacon to the skillet.
  12. Spoon warm dressing over the Brussels sprouts.
  13. Serve warm!
