Basic Fried Chicken Marinade

  • 1 cup buttermilk or evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (not smoked paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin
  1. Whisk together the buttermilk and spices in a medium sized bowl.
  2. Pour the marinade into a Ziploc bag and add chicken.
  3. Seal and place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 12 hours.
