Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter & Sage

  • One stick unsalted butter
  • 1 pound butternut squash raviolis, prepared according to package instructions
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
  • And 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  1. Melt the butter in a medium size skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Add the fresh sage to the melted butter and cook till dark circles appear on the bottom of the pan.
  3. Swirl the pan often to keep the butter from burning.
  4. Stir in the chicken broth and whipping cream.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Continue to stir while adding in the Parmesan cheese and continue to cook for about a minute.
  7. Add in the warm raviolis and cook together till raviolis and sauce are warm.
  8. Serve with a sprinkling of fresh sage and Parmesan.
