Suspect Shot, Killed During Officer-Involved Shooting In Ada
ADA, Oklahoma - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said a suspect is dead following an officer-involved shooting Saturday in Ada.
Authorities said the Ada Police Department responded around 9:45 a.m. to an ongoing domestic dispute in the 900 block of E. Arlington.
Four officers arrived on the scene and reportedly tried to speak with the 29-year-old suspect who lived in the apartment. According to the report, a fight broke out between the suspect and police.
Fifteen minutes later, officers radioed in stating that shots had been fired.
The suspect died at the scene. He has not been identified at this time.
The OSBI said one officer was injured during the altercation. He was treated and released from the hospital.
Authorities said the suspect and the woman involved in the domestic dispute were not in a relationship.
The investigation is ongoing. The completed report will be submitted to the DA's office to determine if the shooting was justified or not.
