Mama Josie’s Pasta Sauce

Mama Josie’s Pasta Sauce
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomato puree
- Water (1 can of water per can of tomato sauce and puree)
- 1 onion, chopped fine
- Dried Basil
- Dried Oregano
- Bay leaf
- Garlic
- Sugar (if needed)
- Start with onion in olive oil- don’t let it burn.
- Then add slivers of garlic.
- DO NOT LET IT BURN.
- AFTER you add your tomato cans of sauce add the water.
- Add your salt, pepper, and any seasonings you like.
- After you can add the basil and or oregano.
- Put Bay leaves in sauce.
- If it is a little more sour than you like- add some sugar.
- As the sauce is simmering - take your spoon and taste it and add ingredients until you like it.
- Simmer on low for 2-3 hours.
