On News 9 at 4, Sassy Mama shows Karl and Bobbie how to make Trash Snack Mix:

2 cups Cheerios

2 cups cashews

3 cups mini saltines or oyster crackers

3 cups mini club crackers

3 cups cheese crackers

3 cups pretzels

1 1/2 cups canola oil

1 package ranch dressing mix

1 tablespoon Cajun spice mix

1 tablespoon Mrs Dash Herb Seasoning

1-2 teaspoon red pepper

In a small bowl whisk together the oil and seasonings. In a large bowl combine all of the crackers, cereals, pretzels, and nuts. Pour the oil mixture over the dry ingredients and stir to coat. Pour into a 2 gallon sized Ziploc bag and seal. Leave in the bag for 24 hours tossing the ingredients ever so often. Store in airtight container.
