OKLAHOMA CITY - One person is in custody Tuesday morning after leading police on a pursuit across Oklahoma City in a stolen car, police said.

According to officials, the incident took place around 2:30 a.m. The suspect involved saw a woman unloading things at her home and was able to steal her SUV.

Police caught up with the suspect near North Council Road and West Wilshire Boulevard. Officers tried to pull the suspect over but he took off.

After driving through an industrial area, the car stopped at the Catholic Center off of Northwest Expressway, officials said. The suspect tried to run but police quickly caught him.

No injuries were reported but police said the suspect tried to do a few things during the pursuit.

"He did try to slam on his breaks once to apparently see if officers would run into the back of him. That didn't work for him," said Liutenent Jeff Spruill.

Police have not released the suspects name.

This is a developing story.
