Shooting At Mustang Apartment Complex Sends 1 To Hospital

One person is in the hospital Monday morning after a shooting at a Mustang apartment complex, officials said. 

Around 1 a.m. officers responded to an apartment complex near the 1100 block of West Westchester Way, police said. 

Police said a female roommate brought a new boyfriend back to her apartment. The male suspect didn't like that, and shot the victim in the abdomen with a shotgun multiple times. 

The victim and the suspect did not know each other, according to officials. 

The suspect was arrested without incident, police said. 

Police described the situation as a love triangle that went astray. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital and their condition is unknown.
