Mama Hedrick’s Dump Cake

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 can (20 ounce) crushed pineapple
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a 9x13 casserole pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Spread the cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple in the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the cake mix over the top of the fruit.
  5. Use a fork to spread and break up any large lumps.
  6. Pour melted butter over the top and sprinkle with pecans and coconut.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool for 30 minutes before serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
