The Edmond Police Department is investigating a shooting Saturday.

One man is injured, and another is in custody after an Edmond shooting in the 500 block of West 15th St. at the Coffee Creek Apartments.

Neighbor Deshayla Dixson said her young children were playing outside when the bullets started flying.

“They ran in. They were panicking,” said Dixson.

The victim had multiple gunshot wounds, the suspect fled the scene and was armed and hiding, according to Edmond Police.

“It took us about 45 minutes. We found the suspect within the complex. There was, apparently what we're gathering initially in the investigation, it was an argument over some type of property,” said Jenny Wagnon, Edmond Police Department Public Information Specialist.

Wagnon said the male victim was taken to a local hospital.

“It could have been one of my kids, and that, I couldn't even imagine. It was very traumatizing for my kids as well,” said Dixson.

The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

This is a developing story.
