Flood waters washed out a construction area along a state highway in southern Oklahoma Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Flood waters washed out a construction area along a state highway in southern Oklahoma Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Heavy rains washed out a temporary construction detour along state Highway 48A at Big Sandy Creek between Milburn and Coleman.

According to ODOT, traffic is being diverted around the closure at state highways 78, 22 and 48 "until repairs can be made."
