OEA Holds Week Of Advocacy 1 Year After Teacher Walkout
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma Education Association continues to fight for more education funding in a battle that began last year during the teacher walkout.
The 2018 teacher walkout lasted nine days. When it ended, there were mixed emotions about the result.
OEA has designated this week as a 'Week of Advocacy'.
The event began Monday, encouraging teachers to stand on street corners with signs.

OEA is still asking for $400 million more to provide another raise for teachers and support staff and increase funding for classrooms.
