Guard play is always important in NCAA Tournament games.
Ole Miss has it. They've had 14 All-SEC guards in the last 13 seasons.
Meanwhile the Sooners are continuing to put the ball in the hands of a freshman.
Lon Kruger, a former point guard himself, and Big 8 player of the year trusts his Katy, Texas point guard.
6-4 Jamal Bieniemy is OU's only scholarship freshman, and despite his age he plays under control.
Bieniemy has been starting since January 19. He brings a much-needed maturity to the position.
"Jamal is built for these types of moments,” said OU guard Miles Reynolds. "[Bieniemy] loves big games. He might be a freshman, but he doesn't play like it. He definitely doesn't act like it. He has no ceiling. He's only 19-years-old and he's just scratching the surface basically."
SEC coach of the year Kermit Davis -- in his first season with the Rebels -- starts a three-guard lineup.
No. 4 Breein Tyree is a first team All-SEC player and the Sooners cannot let this guy run wild.
