Authorities in western Texas say three deputies are recovering Tuesday after being injured during an officer-involved shooting Monday.
Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis says all three deputies are expected to be okay. Two of the deputies were shot in the leg and one deputy's mouth was grazed by a bullet.
Griffis says the deputies were injured while serving a search warrant Monday night.
As the deputies were entering, Griffis says the suspect fired multiple rounds. The deputies were later rushed to the hospital following the shooting.
Griffis says there was one suspect that was the target of the warrant, but that additional people are believed to have been inside the residence as officers approached.
The suspect is deceased, and another person is in custody, according to police. Griffis says a third person could be at large, but that has not been confirmed, however, there is no threat to the public at this time.
