More than 20 schools in Illinois have reportedly installed new security alarms, that when pulled will alert police and the alarm company that a shooter is on school premises.
The product maker, BluePoint alert says the product works similar to a fire alarm and is to be pulled if and when an armed intruder enters a building.

The boxes can also be activated by school personnel with special fobs, The Hill reports.
