This week Scott Mitchell, Grant Hermes and Aaron Brilbeck look at the State School Superintendent’s decision to defy an executive order signed by the governor.

Governor Mary Fallin had ordered the Education Department to come up with a list of schools that are spending less than 60-percent of their funding in the classroom.

Those school districts would be targeted for consolidation.

We will also look at democratic gubernatorial candidate Drew Edmondson’s plan to increase taxes to provide an additional $300-million dollars for schools. That’s on top of the $400-million increase the legislature passed this year.  Republican candidate Kevin Stitt says his opponent is prematurely talking about tax increases.
