One man was arrested Tuesday morning after another man was stabbed in the throat in Norman, the Cleveland County sheriff's office said.
Shortly before 9 a.m., Cleveland County deputies were called to an abandoned building at 1000 E Main Street. The building is owned by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
Two men were involved in a confrontation when one pulled a knife and reportedly cut the throat of the other, deputies said.
The 30-year-old man was taken to Cleveland County jail. His name has not been released.
The 48-year-old victim was conscious and aware and was taken to a Norman hospital. He is suffering from a five- to six-inch gash across his neck that is one inch deep. He has not been identified.
