Inmate Recaptured After Walking Away From OK Minimum Security Unit

Two inmates walked away from the minimum-security unit at Mack Alford Correctional Center in Stringtown, according to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Both have been recaptured.

The DOC says 38-year-old Jesse Rapan Jr. and 25-year-old Randy W. Jones were reported missing around 1 a.m. Wednesday, August 22.

Jones was recaptured around 4:55 a.m. Rapan was found about 3:35 p.m. near the facility.

Rapan is serving a 15-year sentence for felony possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and using an offensive weapon during a felony.
