Guthrie Church A Total Loss After 2 Fires Hit

The Guthrie Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at a church for the second time in a matter of hours, Wednesday morning. 

The fire was reported at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday evening. The second fire was reported around 6 a.m. Wednesday. 

Oak Cliff Fire and Crescent Fire crews assisted Guthrie in putting out the fire located near west Logan Avenue and north Lombardy Road. Firefighters have not confirmed whether the fire was started by lightning. 

Officials report the building a total loss.
