Storms Produce Brief Tornadoes As They Move Across Central Oklahoma

A series of storms moved through Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon producing two brief tornadoes on the northwest side of the Oklahoma City metro.

The thunderstorms mostly produced heavy rain, high winds and up to ping-pong-sized hail. However, right about 7 p.m., Chief Meteorologist David Payne and Storm Tracker Darren Stephens noticed a debris cloud near Wilshire Boulevard and the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

The two brief touch-downs lasted less than a minute.

No damage from the brief spin-ups has been reported as of 7:15 p.m.

The primary weather threat for the rest of Tuesday night will be high winds and flash flooding.
