Homicide Victim Found In NW OKC Backyard ID'd

The homicide victim found in June in a northwest Oklahoma City backyard has been identified, police said.

Jacalyn Elizabeth Russell, 31, was identified as the person found on June 6 in the backyard of a home in the 2200 block of Northwest 34th Street. Authorities determined the victim's cause and manner of death was strangulation. 

Police arrested Jimmy Vongphakdy, 36, on a complaint of first-degree murder after receiving a tip about a body at the residence.
