3 Small Earthquakes Recorded In Logan County

<p>Three small earthquakes were recorded in rural Logan County on&nbsp;Tuesday.</p>

Three small earthquakes were recorded in rural Logan County on Tuesday.

The first temblor, 3.0 magnitude, struck at 9:47 a.m., 2.6 miles to the west of the town of Marshall, Oklahoma, or about 48 miles north of the Oklahoma City metro, at a depth of just less tthan two miles.

The second, also a 3.0, was recorded about an hour later, at 10:57 a.m. It was located 2.9 miles west southwest of Marshall at the same depth.

A third earthquake rumbled just before 6 p.m. This one was a 3.1 magnitude located 2.5 miles est of Marshall at a depth of just more han a mile. 

No damage or injuries have been reported with these earthquakes.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), quakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes of 4.0 and greater.
