Police are investigating a frightening robbery and attack that happened in a metro grocery store parking lot. The suspect's targeted a 74-year-old grandmother.

“It was seconds,” said Sharon Gentry, robbery victim. “I don’t know how he got into there so quickly."

Gentry is left with the bruises and memories of the brutal assault.

“I got lots of bruises and a lovely black upper cut.”

Gentry said she went to the bank to get cash for Christmas shopping and groceries Saturday morning. Police believe the suspects followed her from the bank to a Walmart in southwest Oklahoma City. The security video captured the suspect's vehicle, described as a silver Lincoln Crossover. The video shows the suspect’s vehicle backing into the parking spot next to Gentry.

“Right after she parked,” said Oklahoma City Police officer Megan Morgan, “a black male wearing a grey hoodie opened the passenger door of her car, assaulted her, and attempted to pull her purse out of the car.”

Gentry was pulled out of the car because her purse was wrapped around her shoulder.

“Within two seconds,” said Gentry, "I’m thrown through the car, out the passenger side, and on the ground. I did start struggling then because I was frightened for my life.”

The suspects sped away, nearly running her over. They got away with her purse and everything inside, including cash and credit cards.

“I absolutely want them caught so they cannot hurt anybody else,” said Gentry, “and have a chance to turn their lives around and realize there are better ways to get money.”

Police think there were four people inside the suspect vehicle. The one witness to the assault said the suspect's car had a paper tag.
