A high school near Tampa, Florida is segregating its students, not by race or ethnicity, but by their effort and achievement. Students making above a 2.0 GPA and with fewer than four absences, get a bracelet and special privileges, like not having to eat in the cafeteria, free admission to sporting events and so.

Here's what you had to say about it:

William first, "I totally agree with you on this one. Hopefully all the schools will follow."

And Jim adds, "Exactly what we need in schools today. I know the Snowflake Society won't like it, however I sure do."

Charley in Stillwater, “What, inspire kids that are struggling with school to stay with it by making them feel like shameful outcasts?"

But Brandi in Sayre argues, "This is the real world. If you are lazy in life and put zero effort into what you do, you will get nowhere."

Karen in Norman writes, "Humiliating kids isn't the way to help kids achieve goals."

But Karen in Marlow says, "What a great idea. Sometimes kids need to be shown a positive pathway, especially if their parents aren't involved"

Finally, from Sandy, "Yeah, let’s single out the dumb kids...they don't belong ...geez...What a sad commentary."
