Hughes County Teen Flown To OKC After Being Shot In Chest

Police are searching for two persons of interest in connection to a Hughes County teen, who was shot in the chest late Monday night.

Authorities were called out to the shooting near the Stoup Park swimming pool, located in the 600 block of N. Broadway in Holdenville, around 11 p.m.

The victim, identified as Donald Griggs Jr., was flown from the scene to OU Medical Center, where hospital officials say he is listed in good condition. According to reports, Griggs was out playing basketball at the time of the shooting.

The Hughes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
