MAJOR COUNTY, Oklahoma - An earthquake was detected Tuesday night in northwest Oklahoma, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The 3.3-magnitude earthquake was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Its epicenter was about 12 miles southeast of Waynoka, about 18 miles south of Avard and about 96 miles northwest of Oklahoma City.

The quake was more than three miles deep. 

No immediate reports of damage or injury were reported.
