Russell Westbrook tallied his 13th triple-double of the season with 26 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high 22 assists as the Thunder improve to 16-11 on the season.

After struggling offensively in each of the last two games, the Thunder wasted no time getting in a rhythm against the Suns. Westbrook scooped a pass to Adams for an easy layup on OKC’s first possession, then hit Anthony Morrow for a 3-pointer before finding Adams again for an and-1 layup as he assisted on the Thunder’s first three possessions.

OKC quickly held an early 7-2 lead and never slowed down, even when Westbrook went to the bench. OKC’s star point guard took a breather with the Thunder up nine points, and OKC’s second unit was able to extend the Thunder’s lead to 13 points before Westbrook checked back in.

Even with a big lead, Westbrook pushed down on the accelerator.

Westbrook knocked down his signature elbow jumper, then a few possessions later dished a beautiful ally-oop pass to Adams to put the Thunder up 18 late in the second quarter.

The offense kept coming for the Thunder in the second half as OKC led by as many as 20 points and coasted to a double-digit win.

Enes Kanter was second on the team in scoring with 12 points off the bench while Adams and Andre Roberson each added 11.
