Winter Weather Tips For Your Children

With dangerous cold here in the metro this morning and with temperatures dropping even more soon, kids need extra attention to stay safe.

Think layers. On a day like today, you want to make sure your kid is hanging on to as much heat as possible. Make sure their heads, necks, and hands are covered.

Also, be mindful depending on their age of a choking hazards such as a scarf or pull strings on hoods and jackets.

Hydration is especially important in the cold since kids lose so much water through their breath. Give them soups and make sure they're drinking.
