A four-year-old girl got an early Christmas surprise on Wednesday. She was escorted by EMSA to the North Pole at Crossroads Mall.

Sa’meia’s morning started at Special Care in Oklahoma City. She was awake and ready to go as Angela Corelli and January Wood with EMSA arrived. But this time was unlike her last experience in the back of an ambulance.

“When she rode in an ambulance the first time, it wasn’t a good day,” said Tonisha Johnson, Sa’meia’s mom.

Wednesday was a great day. The elves at the North Pole were ready for Sa’meia with games and activities planned.

Tonisha said this meant so much to her daughter who has cerebral palsy. She said, “Instead of always looking at somebody with disabilities, you actually get to run around and be normal. They treated her like family.”

As Sa’meia walked around the North Pole with EMSA and Santa’s helpers, she had no idea what was coming next. She walked in the next room to find Santa Claus himself sitting on a big red chair.

With a big smile, almost to tears, Sa’meia fell to the ground. It was her first time seeing Santa Claus in real life. Her mom said she was so surprised.

She took photos with Santa, then ended the day eating a fresh baked cookie made by Mrs. Claus. With chocolate and crumbs smeared on her face, Sa’meia said, “Merry Christmas, everyone!”
