One man is determined to find the rightful owners of a photo album. He said he discovered it after police recovered his stolen truck in Oklahoma City.

Anthony Freeman’s Dodge is totaled after someone stole it in late-October. He believes the thief used the car to steal from others. When the truck was returned to him, Freeman had to clean out the trash left inside.

He noticed a unique photo album with an old Washington license plate 354-XGK as the cover. Inside the album is filled with family photos.

“I know they want these pictures back. I would not throw these pictures away,” said Freeman.

He said he is on a mission to find the family it belongs to.

As a recovering addict and ex-convict, Freeman said, “What really hurt me was not losing my tools, but watching the detectives go through the truck and undo the mess that I used to do. They kept calling me the victim and I used to be the victimizer.”

Freeman’s last crime was four years ago for auto theft and eluding a police officer. He was in and out of prison six times before that. He has been clean now for four years. He’s been trying to give himself a better life. This incident made him realize the hurt he inflicted on others in his past.

“I really feel today that I understand what I’ve done,” said Freeman.

Anthony says this time he wants to return what someone else stole.
